I believe in optimism; a positive attitude, good Karma, any of a dozen other phrases that emphasizes outcomes that are successful or are more advantageous for the individual.
I believe that a person who looks at a glass as half full instead of seeing it as half empty can deal with adverse situations better; however that is something that is debatable. That belief without verifiable investigational study done in a scientific manner is an opinion; a theory, it could be false, wishful thinking, “an old wives’ tale”, or it could be totally and undeniably accurate.
By the same token, there is a tendency for many people to react in a similar manner when it comes to hearing about the latest “miracle” item that is mentioned in some sort of media item.
The details and “facts” that are reported are usually something from a “preliminary study that indicates…” , or some similar bit of indication that indicates that the report is something that is a long way from a proven, verifiable conclusion.
As a Powerful Patient most of us are understandably cautious about so many “new things” that are being studied, especially when they are first announced, for we fully realize that it takes a bit of time to see just how promising they are.
Warmest Wishes,
Mike
