Our body’s immune system is a powerful defense against bacteria and viruses that can cause disease.  Sometimes, though, our bodies’ own defense system can attack our own cells.  This is called an “autoimmune” condition.

Sjogren’s system is one of those autoimmune diseases. While it is best known for dry eyes and mouth, it can affect a number of other organs.  Getting a diagnosis can be difficult unless you are careful to report ALL your symptoms to one doctor.

Robin and Joyce speak with Steven Taylor, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation, to learn about this syndrome, and how to determine whether you are affected.
